Taylor Porter Partner Andrée Cullens has been elected to the board of directors of WRKF 89.3 FM, the local Baton Rouge National Public Radio station affiliate. The 89.3 WRKF-FM Board of Directors was announced at its January 2018 meeting. The WRKF Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of WRKF as a nonprofit corporation, and holds the station’s FCC broadcast license. Board members serve as volunteers and are selected for their commitment to WRKF’s mission and goals, and for their expertise in various fields.
“The WRKF Board has an incredible depth of experience in governance, business, media, philanthropic development, arts and culture, and leadership,” said WRKF President and General Manager, Paul Maassen. “Board members are passionate about WRKF, and inspire the organization to be innovative and devoted to our mission of public service.”
89.3 WRKF-FM, Baton Rouge's NPR station, informs and entertains the community with news, information, and cultural programs. Founded in 1980, WRKF is supported by donors and underwriters who value discovering the world around them. WRKF reaches a 60-mile radius to Baton Rouge, Lafayette, Hammond, Ponchatoula, New Iberia, Morgan City, Opelousas, south of LaPlace, and even in Woodville, MS.
Practicing law since 1994, Andrée Cullens is a Partner at Taylor Porter, practicing in bankruptcy law, commercial litigation, and employment litigation. She holds an AV-Preeminent peer review rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
Andrée Cullens is a member of Leadership Alumni of Greater Baton Rouge and was a member of the 2015 Baton Rouge Area Chamber Leadership Class. In the community, Andrée Cullens is a family selection committee member for Habitat for Humanity and a volunteer for the Episcopal High School Annual Fund and Fair. She formerly volunteered for several nonprofit and community organizations, including Junior League of Baton Rouge, LSU Hilltop Arboretum, Louisiana Arts and Science Center, and CASA.
Andrée Cullens received her Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University in 1994, and graduated from University of New Orleans with a Bachelor of Arts in 1989.
