Shelby LaPlante Named Frank L. Maraist Award Nominee
Taylor Porter Associate Shelby G. LaPlante was selected as a nominee of the 2024 Frank L. Maraist Award. The award is presented by the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel (LADC) Young Lawyers Committee. The nominees are chosen based on professional excellence, service to the profession and the bar, service to the community, and reputation for or advancement of legal ethics and professional responsibility. About Shelby G. LaPlante
Shelby is an Associate practicing in a variety of practice areas including medical malpractice defense, general/tort litigation, and insurance defense. She has experience representing health care providers in malpractice lawsuits and medical review panel proceedings. Shelby also has experience defending hospitals in EMTALA claims and advising clients on employment issues, HIPAA, and privacy concerns.
